All the navigation features related to the city walks are disabled in this Lite version, which means that you can view the walk details (sight descriptions and photos), but NO navigation assistance is provided to guide you from one sight to the next. Download the Lite version if you want to use the city map or learn about the city walks. However, if you want to join the walks, it is highly recommended that you download a Full Version of this app. The Full Version includes detailed walk route maps to guide you from one sight to the next.

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. This app gives you the option to turn off the GPS tracking in the background to prolong the battery life.
Latest reviews of London Map and Walks app for iPhone and iPad
On reading the synopsis of this app, it sounds fabulous. THen you download this piece of garbage with all its pretty pictures and names of walking tours....and then find that EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM is only available on the PAID app. Its classic bait and switch. The free app is bereft of any information whatsoever, not a thing. I cant believe that Apple lets developers like these people put up an app that does nothing, other than tell you you need to buy the paid one if you actually want the info that they lead you to believe is on the free app. And just for that, Id advise folks not to but the paid one either.
Ive just came back from London and must say that Google maps was much more useful than this app (I purchased the full Version to). For me the map is not working (the offline Version is low resolution so It is just useles and online works pure as London 3G network is very very slow In comparison to other European capitals!). Better buy a paper version of London guide and use Google maps. And advice for turists: buy Oyster travelers card at the airport! IT is useful city transport ticket for public transport and discount for MUSEUMS. For Greenwich from center take "Thames Clipper" which is fastest public boat and niciest way to get there and cost only 4,8£
